Matthew 3:16 “As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water.”
2. Every baptism in the Bible was by immersion.
Eg. “….then both Philip and the man went down into the water and Philip baptized him. When they came up out of the water…..”

WHAT IF I WAS BAPTIZED AS A BABY, CAN I BE BAPTIZED AGAIN?
Yes!!! Some churches practice a "infant baptism”. This ceremony is intended to be a covenant between the parents and God on the behalf of the child. The parents promise to raise their child in the faith until the child is old enough to make his or her own personal confession of Christ. This custom began about 300 years after the Bible was completed. This is different from the baptism talked about in the Bible which was only for those old enough to believe.
The purpose of baptism is for you to publicly confess your personal commitment to Christ. Here at Comox Pentecostal Church many in our church family have followed the example of Jesus and have been baptized by full immersion, even though many of us were baptized as infants or small children. This is not a sign of disrespect, nor does it minimize the faith of your parents, rather it is an act of obedience to Christ that you can now personally respond to.
