Dearly Beloved,

On September 27th, we introduced and commissioned CPC’s Volunteer Community Pastors. This role exists to enhance and extend pastoral presence, care, and connection throughout our church, with a special focus on Sundays.

If you’d like to talk with a pastor or have someone pray with you, look for the people wearing red Community Pastor tags. We also want you to get to know them, so this fall they’ll be sharing their stories in the Dearly Beloved section of the e-bulletin.

Hi everyone! My name is Kierra, and I’m so honoured to be serving as one of our Community Pastors at Comox Pentecostal Church. I’ve been married to my husband, Kevin, for eight years. I waited a long time for Mr. Right, and I’m so thankful God brought us together! We now have three children, with another little one on the way.

For the past few years, I’ve worked as a unit clerk at the hospital, but one of the things I’ve always loved most is connecting with people, making them feel welcome, and helping them feel like they belong.

We are so excited to have made Comox Pentecostal our church home. In fact, this church has been part of my story; my mom used to bring me to youth events here when I was a young teenager and then over the years attended young adults at CPC! It feels pretty special to now be raising my own family here.

I’m excited about what God is doing in our church, especially seeing young people and families connecting, growing in their faith, and becoming part of a genuine church family.

As a Community Pastor, I’m especially looking forward to connecting with others and praying for them.

I believe people simply need someone to listen, care, and remind them that they aren’t walking through life alone.

For more than 20 years, Jesus has been the one constant in my life. He is the only One who has never left me or forsaken me. He has been my most trustworthy, committed, and faithful friend through every season. That is something I hope to share with others, not just through words, but by being present, praying, and pointing people back to Him.

Psalm 89:1–2 says, in part, “I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.” That Scripture reminds me of who God has been to me and who I hope to reflect to others: faithful, loving, and always present.

I’m so grateful to be part of this church family, and I’m looking forward to getting to know more of you!
