September 2021:

Thank you CPC for your great team spirit as we endeavour to protect our church and surrounding community from covid-19. Laura and I admire how this church models Christ-like charity and continues to consider the needs and concerns of others, even ahead of their own.

This Fall, covid-19 numbers have increased in our province and here on the Island. While increasing immunization numbers continue to strengthen our local safety net, we want to do our part in considering the needs of the vulnerable, while also continuing to keep our services 'open' for in-person attendance.

Fall Plans (September 12 onward, until further notice)
  • Masks are mandatory for adults and children ages 12 and up. This helps reduce the spread of droplets while we sing and attend together.
  • 2 Services. 9am & 11am. This helps us to spread out better and also gives us an opportunity to potentially reach and serve more people. You can read more about this change here.
  • Kidz Zone will continue to be offered during the 9am service, but kids will start out and remain with their families for worship time in the main service. Then Kidz Zone starts after worship time in the Hall.
    • Parents, please check-in your kids in the main auditorium foyer
To ensure reasonable air flow, our side door will remain open during services for the foreseeable future. While we will begin increasing the room temperature accordingly, you may wish to bring a sweater along in case the cool air or breeze are a bother.
  • Seating
    • Balcony - Right side (facing stage) remains No Singing & Physically Distanced.
    • The back row seats of the main floor can be reserved for any with mobility issues who wish to also not sing. While the balcony is ideal for those with this preference because no droplets of singers 'above' them will exist, the back row of main floor seating is under the balcony. Some with mobility issues may wish to chose this option, but need to understand the risk is greater than upstairs or watching online.
      • To reserve a main floor back row seat(s), you must contact the church office by Wednesday at noon the week prior. [email protected]
    • The rest of the auditorium is set normally and people can choose a seat where they are comfortable.
And as before, we are pleased to offer our ongoing technical services which will continue to provide live-streaming of our 9am service for those who need more time before feeling comfortable returning for an in-person service. We recommend that everyone asks for input from their doctor on steps that will help protect themselves and others.

We will continue to monitor provincial and local public health measures and also evaluate our own safety precautions and steps forward as the Fall unfolds. We feel blessed to be able to continue in gathering in-person to sing, worship, receive the Word & ministry and see one another.

Thanks for walking forward together with us!
