Thanksgiving has come and gone and I don’t know about you, but I was blessed with a feast of delicious food! I am still full of turkey and might be currently in a turkey coma as I am writing this letter to you. Every year during this time I like to reflect and give thanks to my Heavenly Father for the provisions in my life, my family and our Church. A year ago we as a Church family began another season of transition where we faced some days of uncertainty regarding our future. Fast forward a year, and now we are all very blessed to say we have new Leaders - the Bidells! God remained faithful like He always does and had a plan for our Church all along. I truly believe GREAT things are in store for us at CPC! I encourage you to keep on praying for our church and the ministries within, the Leadership, and the congregation as we move forward.
In this letter to you, our church family, I would like to take a moment to tell you
about one of the ministries that I oversee. Today I would like to talk about our
Kids Zone - Sunday mornings in the CPC Fellowship Hall from 10:00am-11:15am! I am very excited to let you all know that on October 25th we are implementing a brand new curriculum called GROW. We will be starting a new five week series on The Prophets called “Breaking News.” In this series kids will have an opportunity to journey with a few Prophets - Micah, Amos, Zephaniah, Ezekiel and Isaiah to discover the news they can count on. This series will encourage our children to develop a strong identity in an ever changing world. The kids will be learning many key themes such as:
• When things go wrong, they can choose what is right
• When they worship God, they can be sincere
• When times are tough, they can count on God
• When they are lost, God will guide them
• They can be faithful, just as God is faithful
I encourage all of you parents to register your kids for Kids Zone every Sunday
morning and together, we will see our kids GROW closer to Jesus! If you ever have any questions or about our Children’s or Youth ministry at the church, please feel free to email me at email@example.com.
