So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

I’m so thankful I am free. Free from sin, free from death (eternal), free from darkness. Free from shame, free from guilt, free from condemnation. THIS. This is freedom.

We’ve been in a season where our comforts and daily routines have been altered and those changes imposed upon us. It can feel to some of us that our freedoms have been stripped, in some ways. It’s so easy for us to confuse our earthly freedoms, though, with eternal ones; earthly freedoms can be taken away, but freedom in Jesus is eternal and no one can ever take that away. Let us be encouraged that no matter what happens in our time here on Earth our salvation, hope and freedom in Jesus will remain unchanged!

As believers, may we always be known more for this freedom in Jesus than everything else in this world. May our lives, words, and actions bring people closer to THIS freedom. The fruit of this freedom is: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control. (Galations 5:22-23)

Pandemic restrictions (and the like) will come and go, but our most real and true freedom is untouched! We are free.
