Dearly Beloved,

I wanted to take some time this week to share an update on what’s been happening in our church’s youth ministry. My hope is that those who call CPC home would stay in the loop and know what God is doing through CPC Youth. Please read, celebrate with us, and continue to pray for us!

Serve Night

Just over a week ago, we held our very first Serve Night. This was a Wednesday evening where all of our senior youth small groups planned and organized ways to bless and serve our community.

We had groups doing yard work, cooking meals for those in need, volunteering at seniors’ homes, and even placing flowers and encouraging cards on cars at the hospital.

The night was a huge success and is something that will definitely become a recurring event on our yearly calendar.

Missions

As many of you know, in the summer of 2025, we took a team of youth students on a short-term missions trip to Los Angeles, where we spent a week serving at the Dream Center—an organization focused on helping those affected by homelessness, hunger, and lack of education.

This year, we also had a large group of our youth travel to Guatemala on a missions trip with our church.

I’m excited to share that we are already planning to return to Los Angeles in the summer of 2027 with another team of students. On June 14 at 12:30 PM, we will be hosting a short interest meeting in the auditorium for any students or parents who would like to learn more. We’ll share details about the trip and provide information packets and applications.

Baptisms

This month, we celebrated the baptism of four youth students! It is always so exciting to see students publicly declare that Jesus is their Savior and that they are choosing to follow Him for the rest of their lives.

Baptism is something we should celebrate as a church—it truly is a big deal. If you’ve been thinking about or are interested in water baptism, I encourage you to reach out to one of our pastors to start that conversation.

Equipped

Equipped is our student discipleship program that runs in multiple semesters throughout the school year. Just over a week ago, we had 20 students complete our spring semester.

This program includes weekly gatherings, book studies, and a trip to the mainland for a youth conference, where we joined 1,200 students for an incredible weekend.

Our next semester will begin in the fall, and our focus will continue to be on depth and spiritual empowerment.

Get Involved

As CPC Youth continues to grow, so does our need for people to serve. We have three main teams that make youth ministry happen:

  • Lead Team – Those who build relationships with students, lead discipleship, and run small groups on youth nights.

  • Serve Team – Those who serve on youth nights in areas like check-in, tech/media, snacks, and security.

  • Midweek Team – Those who support behind the scenes during the week by preparing snacks, shopping for supplies, and helping with setup needs.

If you’re interested in getting involved, I would love to connect with you!

How to Follow Along

The easiest way to stay connected is by following us on Instagram: @CPCYTH

You can also sign up for our newsletter and check out the youth page on our website, which includes an active calendar and all the latest information on what’s happening.

Please continue to pray for CPC Youth and for the teenagers in our valley—they need to know Jesus.
