Dearly Beloved CPC Family...

I'm thrilled to update our CPC family that this week was our big install with our new livestream equipment. We know that this season of COVID shutdowns is difficult, and connecting on an online platform is more important than ever. This is the fuel behind our upgrades, YOU are the fuel behind our upgrades! I hope that these new changes will improve the online experience for you at home, and for our community who may be seeking online and drop-in to check out a worship service.

A few of our changes include: new cameras (#2 arrives next week), a dedicated switcher board that connects directly to Ethernet (yay for less signal dropping!), a new media presenter program that allows us to send video, lyrics, scriptures, etc. directly to your screen at home...we can now eliminate the TV on the stage. Another thing we've done this week is have a professional sound technician come in and help us troubleshoot our sound issues. Hopefully, the only humming you'll hear at home is the sound of your own voice!

Our team of volunteers have been incredible throughout this whole season of new challenges and changes. COVID has thrown multiple curve balls simultaneously and they've handled it with grace and patience. I want to honour our worship team, sound, media and livestream techs who have remained dedicated throughout this season. To use the most COVID cliche word, they've pivoted many times! People have been so kind online in our comment sections on Sundays, and I ask you to keep that up as we iron out the wrinkles of learning a new system here behind the scenes. Remember to tune in from our website!

Lastly, I want to encourage you to continue to find ways to encourage the community around you, beyond our church family. As Pastor Mike said last Sunday, loneliness is another pandemic running parallel to COVID - we need to be reaching out, extending hope. "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect meeting together.." Heb. 10:24-25. Love our neighbours, and though gathering looks different right now, let's keep on meeting together online.

Be blessed, stay safe, and know that we are with you, we are for you, and we continue to serve a God who is victorious!
