Join us on September 21 at 6:30 pm, in the auditorium, for a free special seminar with Rikk Watts. Rikk will teach "How to Read the Old Testament Devotionally," and there will be an opportunity for Q&A. Many of us know what it's like to find stretches of the Old Testament challenging and even confusing. Join us in learning how to better understand God's message and heart as expressed in the scriptures Jesus read. This seminar will help you to grow in loving reading the Bible and hearing God's voice through His Word.

Rikk and his wife, Katie, live in Langley, BC, and have two adult children. Rikk’s specialty is in Scripture, both OT and NT, with an emphasis on the Gospels, Jesus, and how the two testaments relate. He also has interests in ancient history, the history of ideas, and particularly how the gospel profoundly shaped our modern world. An engineer turned Biblical professor, Rikk's career has stationed him mainly in Canada and Australia, with opportunities to teach around the world. Rikk isn't just well known for the depth of his Biblical teaching but also for his inspiring love for Jesus and his value for the presence and work of the Spirit. He presently finds joy in serving on the teaching team for the home church he attends in Fort Langley, as well as leading biblical history tours to Greece, Turkey, Israel, and Egypt, and is currently a research professor with Regent College in Vancouver.
